Our shipyard “Namdock” has resumed full operations with effect from Tuesday 5 May 2020, in accordance with the inception of stage 2 of the lockdown, which has seen the partial easing of restrictive measures thanks to the recent flattening of the infection curve. Namdock’s repair and maintenance yard activities are therefore fully operational. All facilities and staff members are adhering to the prescribed COVID-19 safety and sanitisation regulations, including working in shifts and observing strict social distancing, regular temperature readings, handwashing, and wearing of face masks, gloves and other prescribed personal protective equipment (PPE).

CombiTrade Shipyard Informations:

Namdock’s highly efficient shipyard includes 3 floating docks (195m x 32,9m x 8,5m), 7 cranes, 1 x 60T floating crane, with fully equipped onsite workshops.

Walvis Bay has a well sheltered harbour with good anchorage at 14m depth as well as a quayside depth of 12m. Namdock’s affiliation with Namport gives us the competitive edge in securing berthing space for our clients which allows us access to common user facilities at the Namport Synchrolift that can lift vessels up to 2,000t and allows a displacement of 80m in length overall, 12m in width. The synchrolift area has 4 x 80m repair quays with 8m draft which Namdock utilises for alongside/pier repairs.
